Statistics

The site in total covers 1.75 acres

The site has two main buildings, one a purpose built building which contains the community centre, and the second an Iron built storage Workshop.

Community Centre Site

The main site covers 21,454 sq.ft. The building is constructed in brickwork with a series of pitched roofs. Inside the building, there are two main area's, the main hall, which is availible for function hiring purposes. The lobby area also house the adminstration offices, and other offices which are used by the community for classes. The main hall contains the toilet facilities and also a purpose built fully licensed bar and kitchen facilities which have re-heating provisions.

Storage Workshop

The storage area covers 6,100 sq.ft. The building is primarily constructed with cladding sheet walls and a pitched roof. This is a currently being used as a storage area, but projected plans are for this site to be converted into a Sports Centre, avaliable for 5-a-side Football, Indoor Hockey, Badminton, and Aerobic training.

Future plans

The current developments at the community centre have been excellent in turning around what was a warehouse, into a fully fledged community hall avaliable for hire and bookings. Work still needs to be completed, and also we need to start phase 2 of the project, for which proposals have been drawn up for what the community centre will finally look like. The following plans have been drawn up by Balbir S Chaggar.
